成都市郫都区中医医院始建于1954年12月，是集中医医疗、教学、科研于一体，以中医和中西医结合为特色的国家三级乙等中医医院（2018年11月已接受国家三级甲等中医医院评审）。医院是四川省内首批迈入三级医院行列的区县级中医医院、郫都区域内首家三级医院、成都中医药大学附属第三医院/第三临床医学院、全国中医全科医生规范化培养基地、四川省中医住院医师规范化培训基地、四川省中医药医养融合示范基地、中国社科院健康产业发展研究中心产学研基地、四川省中医医院医联体单位、四川省肿瘤医院医联体单位、四川大学华西医院区域联盟网络医院、上海中医药大学附属岳阳中西医结合医院合作共建协议医院、成都军区总医院协作医院、国家全面提升县级医院综合能力首批县级中医医院（全国498家）。
全院在岗职工744人，其中正高级职称22人，副高级职称55人，博士研究生2人，硕士研究生120人，现开放住院床位655张。现有四川省重点中医专科(建设单位)5个:肺病科、康复科、肾病科、骨伤科、?老年病科；成都市重点中医专科3个:脾胃病科、妇科、重症医学科。肺病科、内分泌科、实验医学科被郫都区纳入“十三五”十大重点建设专科。
