我院始建于1987年10月，2011年7月更名为宜宾市南溪区中医医院，1997年创建为国家“二级乙等”中医医院，2013年创建为国家“二级甲等”中医医院。我院集医、教、防为一体，是宜宾市“120”网络急救医院 、“社保”、“新农合”及各类商业保险、交通事故定点医院，泸州医学院和宜宾一、二医院网络协作医院。先后获得了“市级文明单位”、“市级卫生先进单位”、“全国农村中医药工作先进单位”、 “商业、服务业诚信计量示范单位”等荣誉称号。
医院开设有内一科、内二科、儿科、外科、妇产科、骨伤科、康复科七大临床科室，其中中医骨伤科为省级重点专科（在建），中医内科为市级重点专科。
