大连特种设备检验检测研究院有限公司（以下简称“特检院”）原名：大连市特种设备检测研究院，隶属于大连市检验检测集团，于2018年9月由原大连市质量技术监督局直属事业单位横向整合改制成为市属公益性国有企业，也是全国*家横向整合的检验检测集团。是经辽宁省质量技术监督局授权并在大连市特种设备安全监察机构的业务领导下，依法独立承担整个大连地区，包括电梯、起重机械、游乐设施、场（厂）内专用机动车辆等机电类特种设备的法定检验工作及其作业人员的考试工作。
