Job Purpose:
Provide on-site engineering leadership at the Lead Fluid (Baoding) facility to stabilize deliver the FlexStream 800 (FS800) program. This role will serve as the primary technical bridge between North America engineering the Lead Fluid team, ensuring product performance, accountability, execution discipline.
Job Summary:
The Product Development Engineer will be based at Lead Fluid (China) report to US engineering manager. This role is responsible fdriving technical execution of the FS800 program, resolving design performance gaps, improving overall engineering effectiveness at the site. The position requires strong hands-on engineering capability, fluent English communication, the ability to influence, assess, elevate the local engineering team.
Duties Responsibilities:
• Lead day-to-day technical execution of the FS800 program at Lead Fluid, ensuring alignment with product performance requirements customer expectations
• Act as the primary communication bridge between North America the Baoding engineering team, ensuring clarity on requirements, issues, decisions
• Diagnose resolve key technical issues preventing the pump from meeting performance targets (flow, accuracy, reliability, etc.)
• Establish clear engineering accountability fdeliverables, timelines, design decisions on-site
• Evaluate current engineering team capabilities identify gaps in skill, ownership, execution
• Provide direct technical coaching hands-on guidance to elevate the local team’s engineering performance
• Drive structured problem-solving (root cause analysis, test validation, design iteration) to accelerate product maturity
• Improve engineering processes at Lead Fluid, including testing rigor, design reviews, documentation, change management
• Partner with global engineering to ensure designs meet system-level requirements, regulatory expectations, application needs
• Provide regular, clear status updates to leadership, including risks, root causes, recovery plans

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, related field
• 8+ years of experience in product development, preferably pumps fluid handling systems
• Proven experience resolving complex product performance issues
• Experience working in with China-based engineering/manufacturing teams strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to lead without direct authority
Education & Experience:
• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution (Masters degree preferred).
• 8 years of progressive engineering experience minimum, with significant experience in pump product design, development, related fluid handling systems.
• Advanced proficiency in CAD, simulation, engineering analysis tools.
• Proven track record of leading complex projects, mentoring juniengineers, implementing process improvements.
• Strong understanding of industry standards, regulatory requirements, best practices in pump mechanical system design.
• Experience with FEA/FEM software solutions felectromagnetic, computational fluid dynamics, static dynamic mechanical simulation preferred
• Certifications such as PMP Six Sigma are a plus.
Travel Expectations:
Willingness to Travel: Availability to travel up to 25% of the time (e.g., customer visits, training at our technical centers, trade shows, etc.).
