镇江市第三人民医院始建于1954年，是一所集医疗、教学、科研、防控于一体的三级乙等医院。2007年2月迁入现址，基本达到了“特色化、数字化、人性化、生态化”的现代化医院要求，全院占地面积94838?m2，建筑面积38690m2，固定资产近2亿元，医院设有行政、临床及医技科室35个，肝科为省级重点专科，肺科、检验科为市级重点专科。编制床位360张，开放床位450张，开设肝炎科、结核科、感染科、内科、外科、肿瘤等共10个病区，在职员工478人，其中**职称72人，中级职称135人，硕、博研究生50名，硕士生导师8人，是全市的肝病、结核病、肝癌诊疗中心。
