Its products include two-piece metal cans, matching easy-open ends, and printed tinplate products. It is one of the leaders and industry standard setters in the high-end metal packaging field for fast-moving consumer goods in China. The company's main customers include carbonated beverage giants such as Coca-Cola and Pepsi, brewing giants such as Budweiser, Tsingtao Beer, Snow Beer, Yanjing Beer, Heineken, and Suntory Beer, as well as large well-known food and beverage enterprises such as Want Want, Wanglaoji, Wahaha, and Maling. It has been awarded the title of "Platinum Supplier" by Coca-Cola China. The company has established long-term, stable cooperative relationships with the aforementioned customers, and has established strategic cooperative relationships with customers such as Coca-Cola, Wanglaoji, Budweiser, and ORG. At present, the company is one of the few enterprises in China with the capacity to produce both steel two-piece cans and aluminum two-piece cans simultaneously. In order to meet the needs of its main customer Hubei ORG Can Making Co., Ltd., the company decided to select a site in Hubei to build a factory. Through preliminary contact with relevant government departments in the candidate locations, the thoughtful and enthusiastic service of government departments at all levels in Huangpi District left a deep impression on the company. Through comprehensive investigation and comparison, in May 2012, the tinplate metal anti-counterfeiting packaging project, it was finally decided to locate the Wuhan Baosteel Packaging project in Luohan Industrial Park, Huangpi District, Wuhan City.
Wuhan Baosteel Packaging Co., Ltd. is one of the 13 wholly-owned subsidiaries of Shanghai Baosteel Packaging Co., Ltd. It is mainly engaged in the design, processing, and sales of packaging products of various materials; sales of packaging materials of various materials; import and export business of goods and technology; packaging decoration, and investment consulting. It was established in August 2012, started trial production in July 2013, and officially commenced production in October of the same year.
The total land area is 76 mu, with a first-phase investment of 121 million yuan and an area of 54 mu (the remaining land is reserved for the second phase). Facilities such as a tinplate printing plant, workshop auxiliary building, and comprehensive building have been constructed. It has introduced an advanced prepress system, a fully automatic UV six-color printing line imported from Germany, four coating lines imported from Japan, and one domestic shearing line. The four coating lines are equipped with the most advanced regenerative environmental protection furnaces in China's tinplate printing industry at present, as well as equipment such as shearing lines, providing users with one-stop services including shearing, coating, design, and anti-counterfeiting printing.
Since the company entered the preparatory stage in October 2012, its work in all aspects has received strong support from leaders at the municipal, district, and especially street levels. During the preparatory period, various initial tasks were relatively difficult, especially as we were the first enterprise in the industrial park, and there were numerous difficulties in the availability of water, electricity, natural gas, and other aspects in the early stage. Street leaders worked tirelessly, busying themselves with the company's various tasks, enabling us to enter the trial production stage in just over 9 months.
After officially commencing production in October 2013, under the guidance and support of leaders from the local district and street levels, the company has achieved good results in all aspects. From 2013 to now, it has annually received a series of titles such as Wuhan Safety Culture Demonstration Enterprise, Wuhan Advanced Unit in Work Safety, Huangpi District Red Flag Unit in Work Safety, Luohan Street Advanced Enterprise, and Huangpi District Advanced Enterprise in Work Safety. In May 2014, the company was honored with the Wuhan May 1st Labor Award. In 2016, it was selected as a "Demonstration Employee Service Center" by the Huangpi District Federation of Trade Unions and the Wuhan Municipal Federation of Trade Unions. In the same year, 2017, it obtained the Hubei Province High-tech Enterprise Certificate and honorary titles such as "Wuhan Workers' Pioneer Collective."
