Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Electronic Materials

Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Electronic Materials (abbreviated as "Institute of Electronic Materials") is initiated by the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, under the guidance and support of the Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Commission. It is one of the ten new-type research and development institutions in Shenzhen, and receives fixed annual research funding support from both municipal and district governments.
The Institute of Electronic Materials focuses on the development of advanced electronic packaging materials technology, aiming to improve the level of China's integrated circuit materials industry. It has built a research and development team of over 200 people, including well-known experts, researchers, senior engineers, and postdoctoral fellows in the industry. It has nearly 45,000 square meters of experimental land for electronic materials research and development, testing and processing verification, and pilot testing. It undertakes the construction of national and local research and development platforms at all levels, including the "National-Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for Advanced Electronic Packaging Materials" and the "Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Key Materials for High-Density Electronic Packaging". It has published over 500 high-quality scientific papers related to electronic materials, applied for over 400 domestic and international patents, incubated 4 high-end electronic materials enterprises, and established 9 joint laboratories with enterprises.
At the same time, the Institute of Electronic Materials, as the chairman unit, initiated the establishment of the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Advanced Electronic Materials Technology Innovation Alliance", with members including more than 30 units such as electronic information terminal user enterprises, electronic materials enterprises, and university research institutes.
