坐落于中国历史文化名城、敬爱的周恩来总理的故乡、运河之都、江苏省腹地苏北平原—淮安。经过几代人不懈努力，现已发展成为以肿瘤防治为特色、以综合诊疗为基础的集医疗、教学、科研、急救、康复、社区医疗服务和体检治疗为一体的三级乙等医院。医院现有建筑面积40166平方米，编制床位880张。设有46个临床医技科室、26个病区。现有在职职工1408人，其中卫技人员1204人、副高以上职称216人、正高职称68 人，硕士博士研究生41人、在职研究生88人，省“333工程”第三层次培养对象1人、淮安市“十百千”人才培养对象27人、淮安区“中青年拔尖人才”8人、533英才工程学术技术拔尖人才培养对象3人、533英才工程学术技术骨干人才培养对象54人，国家、省市级专科护士25人。
