广西特种设备检验研究院钦州分院（钦州市特种设备检验所）的前身为钦州地区锅炉检验所，组建于1992年8月，在2001年12月的国家机构改革中，整个机构和人员建制划转到钦州市质量技术监督局管理，更名为钦州市锅炉压力容器与特种设备检验所。2007年8月，广西特种设备检验机构联合重组，钦州市特种设备监督检验所重组组建“广西壮族自治区特种设备监督检验院钦州分院”，2014年更名为广西特种设备检验研究院钦州分院（钦州市特种设备检验所）。担负着全市特种设备的定期检验和监督检验工作，是全市范围内*具有独立法人资格的特种设备法定监督检验机构。
