福建水口工程监理咨询有限公司即原福建水口水利水电建设监理（咨询）中心，成立于1994年，其前身是福建水口水电站工程建设公司的监理工程师机构，福建水口水电站工程建设公司是1985年原水利水电部批准成立，并经世界银行认可的水口水电站工程的建设单位（项目管理单位）兼工程师单位（项目监理单位），为了发挥公司监理力量的优势，拓宽业务为水口水电站工程及其他的大中型水利水电工程、交通、工业民用建筑工程等提供优质、高效的建设监理和咨询服务，1994年经福建省工商行政管理局注册成立福建水口水利水电建设监理（咨询)中心，1995年6月经原电力工业部批准为水电甲级监理单位，1997年5月经国家建设部核定批准为甲级监理单位（资质证书编号为：[建]工监企第961051号），1998年7月经国家建设部核定批准为甲级工程造价咨询单位（资质证书编号为：甲06013544368）。2002年7月根据建设部《关于工程造价咨询机构与政府部门实行脱钩改制的通知》的要求，改制重组后更名为福建水口工程监理咨询有限公司
