Jiangxi Vocational College of Information Application Technology is a public information-category junior college-level regular higher education institution in Jiangxi Province, approved by the People's Government of Jiangxi Province and filed with the Ministry of Education. It has a history of over 60 years of operation and currently has two campuses. The Nanchang Campus is located on the west side of Yingbin Middle Avenue in Nanchang City, adjacent to the pearl-like Xianghu Park and the renowned Badashanren Meihu Scenic Area; the Gongqing Campus (School of Digital Technology) is located in the Vocational Education City of Gongqing City, where Information Avenue at the campus gate leads directly to Gongqing Avenue, adjacent to the Chang-Jiu Expressway and the Beijing-Kowloon Railway.
Since its founding, the college has consistently adhered to its distinctive feature of information-related programs, striving for excellence and devoting itself to cultivation, forming provincial-level and national-level distinctive specialty groups in software, networking, telecommunications, e-commerce, surveying and mapping, meteorology, and sports, and has established comprehensive school-enterprise cooperation relationships with well-known enterprises and institutions such as China Civil Aviation, China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom, China Communications Engineering Company, National Survey and Planning Company, Chinasoft International, Alibaba, Huawei, Lenovo Group, Tencent, Baidu, Foxconn Group, OPPO Electronics, GRG Banking, Xiamen Tianma, Shenzhen Kailide, National Golf Clubs, and provincial and municipal meteorological bureaus. The college is a pilot institution for the PLA's targeted direct recruitment of non-commissioned officers and direct recruitment of non-commissioned officers, and has trained a large number of military technical talents for the Rocket Force, Air Force, and Navy.
The School of Digital Technology (Gongqing Campus) was established by Jiangxi Vocational College of Information Application Technology and information enterprises in response to the national call for "industry-education integration, school-enterprise 'dual-element' education, and building a diversified school-running structure." The school keeps pace with the development of digital technology in today's information age, focusing on the teaching, practical training, and employment of five majors and ten directions: Mobile Application Development, Big Data Technology and Application, Intelligent Product Development, Digital Media Application Technology, and Business English, striving to deliver more practical talents with both good character and academic excellence and solid professional skills to society.
