山西省太原固体废物处置中心（以下简称处置中心）是“十一五”期间经国务院批准建设的31个规划试点综合性危险废物集中处置中心之一，总投资3.2亿元人民币，由山西省太原固体废物处置中心（有限公司）负责该项目的建设及运营。处置中心位于太原市阳曲县杨兴乡鄯都村西北1.2公里处，占地面积205亩。通过焚烧、物化、固化填埋等工艺(其中焚烧系统：1万吨/年（30吨/日），物化处理系统：0.7万吨/年，稳定化（固化）系统：2.2万吨/年，安全填埋场：2.8万吨/年)，年处置医疗废物和工业危险废物能力为38300吨，可处置国家危险废物名录中46大类危险废物中的44大类。
