平坝区人民医院*早成立于1938年，是贵州省*早设立的医疗机构之一，至今已有82年的历史。现为贵州省二级甲等综合医院，贵州省新农合重大疾病治疗定点医院、贵州省助理全科医生规范化培训基地。占地面积77.5亩，建筑面积7.5万平方米（其中4.3万平方米的二期项目正在建设中）。编制床位490张，实际开放病床551张，日平均在院病人650人，病床使用率超过100%。年门诊病人30万余人次，年住院病人3万余人次，年手术量7000余台次。近三年均保持了较好的业务增长发展势头。服务范围覆盖平坝全境及周边的清镇、织金、贵安新区、长顺、西秀等县区，服务人口超过40万人。现有职工500余人，其中，医护人员482人；临床医师200人，护士282人；高级职称51人（其中，正高9人，副高42人），中级职称57人。
