宣城皖能环保电力有限公司由皖能集团全资企业安徽皖能环保发电有限公司投资建设（省属国有企业）。公司投资建设1×350吨天生活垃圾焚烧炉+汽轮发电机组（1*7），配套建设烟气净化和渗滤液处理设施；拟建设1×130农林废弃物直燃锅炉+汽轮发电机组（1*30）+烟气处理系统发电项目。两个项目预计共投资约6亿元人民币。项目选址于生态与人文环境绝佳的皖南泾县，被国家列为皖南国际文化旅游示范区核心区域。其中生活垃圾焚烧发电项目主要从事泾县县城及城乡生活垃圾焚烧处理，总投资约2.47亿元，计划于2019年开工建设，2021年初建成投产。
