重庆交通大学绿色航空技术研究院成立于2019年，位于重庆两江新区，是由重庆交通大学与重庆两江新区管理委员会共同发起、隶属于重庆交通大学的独立法人事业单位，是一所具有非财政补助、承担公益职责、非盈利性特点的新型科技创新研发机构。现有由中国科学院院士领衔，包括全国优青、青年长江等多层次人才结构组成的专兼职科研团队50余人，设有重庆交通大学院士专家工作站、绿色航空飞行器研究所、绿色航空能源动力研究所、绿色航空材料与智能制造研究所等技术研发创新平台。
