上海开伦造纸印刷集团有限公司1995年成立，其前身是上海造纸产业的国资龙头，历史可追溯到洋务运动时期李鸿章先生开创的中国机械造纸业先河——上海机器造纸局。开伦集团原隶属于上海轻工控股集团公司，2004年落实上海市委市政府的有关决定，落户到奉贤区，目前属于奉贤区管国有全资企业。
近年来，为顺应上海城市功能的变化，开伦集团把改革和重组作为重要内容，通过整合升级传统产业、布局新的产业方向，促进集团业务转型。目前开伦集团业务重心已经转移至商办物业开发经营、内外贸易、金融服务等现代服务业，同时涉足经济型酒店、汽车服务、股权投资等行业。
