Chongqing Chemical Research Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CCRI") was established in 1958 and is one of the earliest state-designated scientific research institutions and pilot test bases engaged in natural gas chemical and fine chemical research and development. It is currently affiliated with Chongqing Chemical & Pharmaceutical Group · Chongqing Yuhua New Materials Co., Ltd., and is built as a research and development innovation platform for Chongqing Chemical & Pharmaceutical Group.
In 2020, as a national high-tech enterprise and a Chongqing "specialized, refined, distinctive and innovative" small and medium-sized enterprise, CCRI was among the first batch selected for the "Science and Technology Reform Demonstration Action" enterprise list of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. CCRI adheres to "scientific and technological research and development, scientific and technological services" as its main business lines. In terms of scientific and technological research and development, with natural gas chemicals and new materials as its main direction, and on the basis of its existing special functional monomer research and development business, it actively leverages the leading role of the "1" in the "1+N umbrella-type" research and development system through joint laboratories, actively carrying out full-process research and development innovation services for the industry and the region.
In 2022, CCRI had 12 "open competition" projects, participated in 2 national projects, introduced 7 talents at the national and provincial/ministerial levels, and was newly recognized as a high-tech enterprise, Chongqing Enterprise Technology Center, Chongqing "specialized, refined, distinctive and innovative" enterprise, and other platforms. A series of special functional polymerizable monomer development projects won outstanding project awards in the National Disruptive Technology Innovation Competition held by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China in 2021 and 2022. CCRI will gradually build itself into a nationally first-class natural gas chemical new materials research and development platform.
