岑巩县妇幼保健院始建于1956年，是集医疗、预防、保健、教学、科研、健康教育为一体的县级妇幼保健机构。是全县妇幼保健技术指导中心、新型农村合作医疗和城镇医保指定医疗机构，是全县孕产妇急救中心，并以“降消”项目为重点，提高住院分娩率，坚持以保健为中心，保障生殖健康为目的，实行保健与临床相结合，面向基层，面向群体，预防为主的妇幼卫生工作方针。2009年4月，岑巩县妇幼保健站更名为岑巩县妇幼保健院。
