Shanjin Optoelectronics (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. is an enterprise established by Ningbo Shanshan Co., Ltd. through the acquisition of LG Chem's polarizer business. Its holding company is 70% owned by Shanshan and 30% by LG Chem. Currently, Shanjin Optoelectronics (Guangzhou) has a workforce of over 700 employees.
Leveraging over 20 years of R&D heritage from LG Chem's polarizer business, Shanjin Optoelectronics leads the market with differentiated technologies in ultra-thin, high-contrast, and wide-viewing-angle polarizers. Products are widely used in TVs, monitors, laptops, tablets, smartphones, commercial displays, automotive, industrial control, and other fields, especially ranking first in the world in the large-size polarizer segment. The company has obtained over 1,000 patented technologies and has become the world's largest polarizer supplier.
Shanjin Optoelectronics holds a leading market share. Its main customer base includes BOE, TCL China Star Optoelectronics, LG Display, Samsung Display, Xianyang Caihong Optoelectronics, HKC Optoelectronics, Sharp, Innolux, AUO, Tianma, etc. The display industry is a nationally encouraged project, and as the most costly material in display panels, polarizers have broad market development space.
