Job Summary:
This role focuses on the end-to-end development, calibration, application of AWD control functions, ensuring optimal performance across all driving conditions. The engineer will design control algorithms, validate software, fine-tune AWD behavifproduction vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
AWD Function Development
• Design develop control algorithms ftorque distribution, traction control, stability enhancement.
• Define functional requirements based on vehicle dynamics targets (handling, efficiency, off-road capability).
• Implement algorithms using model-based development (MBD) tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink).
• Validate functions through simulation (MIL/SIL/HIL) prototype vehicle testing.
AWD Application & Calibration
• Calibrate AWD control parameters (e.g., torque split, response times) fdiverse scenarios (snow, wet, different driving mode).
• Conduct diverse scenarios testing to optimize performance.
• Collaborate with brake control teams to align AWD behaviwith ESC (Electronic Stability Control) other chassis systems.
• Support homologation certification processes (e.g., ISO 26262, ASPICE).
Integration & Troubleshooting
• Work with VCU brake control system team to ensure seamless integration function performance
• Diagnose resolve AWD-related issues during development production phases.
Documentation & Collaboration
• technical specifications, test reports, validation plans.
• Liaise with suppliers, software teams, cross-functional engineers to meet project milestones.
Preferred Experience:
• Electrified AWD systems (e.g., hybrid & electric vehicles), especially AWD control development calibration.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++, CANalyzer/CANape.
• Knowledge of vehicle dynamics, drivetrain systems, x-by-wire technologies. Qualifications & Skills:
• Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive Engineering.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with functional safety (ISO 26262) automotive SPICE.
