Googol Technology (Hong Kong) Limited was established in 1999, headquartered at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Its founders are internationally renowned experts and scholars in the fields of automation and microelectronics. They have many years of research and management experience at world-class research institutions such as the University of California (UC Berkeley), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Bell Labs. In the same year, Googol Technology (Shenzhen) Limited was established.
