宏微特斯于2010年成立，专注于新型检测技术和体外诊断试剂研发和生产。北京、南通、苏州均设有研发实验室及GMP车间，其中研发实验室总面积约16000平米。 现有NGS、恒温扩增、荧光PCR、免疫层析等技术平台，产品线涵盖传染病防控、生殖健康、遗传性疾病、药物基因个性化及新冠检测等业务领域，已成功开发产品300多项。 承担国家传染专项、国家高技术研究发展计划(863计划)、国家重点基础研究发展计划(973计划)及国家自然基金等多个项目，与国内著名科研机构建立合作关系。
