天津大学浙江绍兴研究院于2019年10月由绍兴市人民政府与天津大学签约落地，是浙江省与天津大学省校战略合作的重要组成部分。研究院于2020年7月完成独立事业单位法人注册，2020年11月获批浙江省新型研发机构。研究院将依托天津大学学科优势，在化工智能合成与安全、微生物合成生物学、高纯化学分离工程三个方向组建省部级平台，聚焦生物高分子材料、合成生物学、生物大分子药物、精细化工、化工过程强化、化工安全等领域开展应用基础研究及产业化推广。
