矿井井田位于陕西省神木市西北部，行政区划隶属神木市孙家岔镇管辖。井田南北长5.3～8.4公里，东西宽7.5公里，面积37.2385平方公里;矿井始建于1996年，2012年12月开始机械化改造，2016年6月建成投产并通过竣工验收，矿井设计生产能力240万吨/年，服务年限42年。矿井地质构造简单，煤层倾角平缓，可采煤层4层，开采深度+1053m～+960m。矿井采用平硐开拓，全井田划分为三个水平七个盘区；现开采一水平4-2煤2盘区，水平大巷沿4-2煤层布置。矿井共有3个井筒，分别为主平硐、副平硐、回风斜井。矿井采用走向长壁采煤法，一次采全高综采工艺，全部垮落法管理顶板。矿井主运输采用胶带，辅助运输采用防爆无轨胶轮车。
