Shijiazhuang Architectural Design Institute was founded in 1958. Currently, it holds seven Class A qualifications, including engineering design, special engineering design for building intelligence, engineering supervision, engineering general contracting, engineering consulting, review of construction drawing design documents, and survey specialties (geotechnical engineering (survey, consultation, supervision)); and three Class B qualifications, including engineering geology, geotechnical engineering consulting, municipal public industry (thermal) engineering design, and urban planning. The institute currently has 187 employees, with strong technical strength and comprehensive capabilities. It has 159 professional and technical personnel, including 4 senior engineers at the professor level, 36 senior engineers, 38 engineers, 11 nationally registered first-class architects and registered structural engineers, 10 first-class registered equipment engineers, 13 nationally registered supervision engineers, and 4 nationally registered geotechnical engineers, making it a knowledge- and technology-intensive scientific research unit. The production departments include five comprehensive architectural design institutes, a survey and mapping institute, Shijiazhuang Huitong Engineering Construction Supervision Company, and Shijiazhuang Xu Zhixin Construction Engineering Design Consulting Office. In 2003, it passed the ISO9001 international quality system certification, and in 2006, it obtained the international foreign cooperation operation qualification. The business scope includes architectural design, intelligent design, engineering consulting, feasibility study reports, engineering supervision, engineering general contracting, construction drawing review, geotechnical engineering exploration consulting, municipal public utilities, and urban planning. Over the years, the institute has launched a series of novel and contemporary works at home and abroad, completed multiple research projects, which not only beautified urban construction but also enhanced the institute's reputation domestically and internationally. The Sino-Japanese cooperative "Urban Well-off Housing" won an international award; two projects won national and ministerial gold awards; nineteen projects won provincial and ministerial science and technology progress awards; sixty-six outstanding designs, four outstanding surveys, seven standard drawing designs, twenty QC achievements, and one engineering software won provincial and ministerial awards. The projects cover scientific and educational buildings, cultural buildings, medical buildings, office buildings, commercial buildings, tourism buildings, transportation buildings, residential community planning and design, etc. In recent years, representative educational buildings include Hebei Sport University, Hebei Academy of Fine Arts, Shijiazhuang University, Shijiazhuang University, Shijiazhuang Health School, Shijiazhuang Vocational Technology Institute, Xinle No.2 Middle School, Zhengding No.1 Middle School, and Baixian Mingde Primary School; representative residential community planning and design include Yan Zhao Garden in Tottori Prefecture, Japan, Lianmeng Community, Pingshan Hot Spring City, Guoling Bay High-rise Residential Community, Jin World High-rise Residential Community, and Jiangnan New Town Villa Area; representative office, office building, and hotel buildings include Shijiazhuang Radio and Television Center, Shijiazhuang Municipal Office Building, Office Building of Hebei Provincial Higher People's Court, Yanchun Garden Hotel, Kunlun Shengyangmen, Yanhua Building, Taihe Building, Jingu Building, and Dongtie Building; representative commercial buildings include Xinbai Plaza and Book Building; representative hospital buildings include Hebei Provincial Xinjiang Korla General Hospital and Hebei Provincial Welfare Institute; representative cultural buildings include Shijiazhuang Liberation Monument and Ma Benzhai Memorial Hall.
