Zhonghegong Construction Group Co., Ltd. originated from Beijing Yazhu Construction and Installation Engineering Co., Ltd., which was affiliated with the General Staff Department of the People's Liberation Army and was established in 1995. In 1998, in accordance with the spirit of the Notice of the Party Central Committee and the State on 'The Armed Police Forces and Political and Legal Organs Shall No Longer Engage in Business Activities', the equity was transferred to China Minmetals Group, and later restructured by China Urban Construction Group into the 12th Engineering Bureau of China Urban Construction Co., Ltd. In October 2016, China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), in line with the spirit of the Guiding Opinions on Deepening the Reform of State-Owned Enterprises, acquired and restructured the 12th Engineering Bureau to promote the development of non-nuclear industries and implement the national PPP construction layout, transforming it into a wholly-owned subsidiary of a central enterprise, and making it an important new member of the non-nuclear industry sector within the CNNC system. After the restructuring, the registered capital of Zhonghegong Construction Group is 3 billion yuan. It is a comprehensive large-scale national construction enterprise integrating construction, project investment, and financial services, focusing on the main business of engineering construction, with an annual output value of over 50 billion yuan. Zhonghegong Construction Group is strategically positioned around the government's PPP large industry, with 'housing construction, municipal engineering general contracting, highway and bridge, decoration, environmental landscape, mechanical and electrical pipeline installation, water conservancy engineering, etc. as core industries, supporting upstream and downstream industries such as building materials processing, trade, and property management.
