2018年7月1日，总投资6亿元的湖北波顿生物科技产业园项目在仙桃高新区正式开工奠基。湖北波顿生物科技产业园（在建中）总建筑面积超2万平方米，生产产品涵盖烟用香精、天然香料和植物提取物、电子雾化液、新型烟草制品等。主要建设生产车间、仓库技术研发、实验楼等配套设施。建设香兰素、香料、烟用香精、粉末香精、复配香精、咸味香精生产线共142条，购置设备676台（套），项目建成后可形成年产香料、香精18000吨的能力，预计可成为中部地区*大的香精香料产业基地。
