Hengchi Automobile adopts a globally integrated R&D model, collaborating with world-leading automotive engineering technology leaders such as Magna and EDAG to develop multiple vehicle models.
Hengchi Automobile has established a Global Research Institute, which includes six professional research institutes such as the Intelligent Science Academy, Power Research Institute, Styling Research Institute, and Vehicle Technology Research Institute. It has introduced over 2,000 international R&D talents and has developed core technologies in chassis architecture, powertrain, batteries, intelligent connected vehicles, and other fields.
By the end of 2021, Hengchi had obtained 2,242 authorized patents and applied for 3,306 patents in core areas such as vehicle manufacturing, intelligent connected vehicles, and power batteries, achieving a comprehensive patent layout across the complete industrial chain. Following Industry 4.0 standards, Hengchi has built intelligent manufacturing bases in Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and other locations, introducing production equipment and processes from Siemens, Schuler, KUKA, Dürr, ABB, Fanuc, and other global leaders. Hengchi collaborates with nearly 200 global suppliers, including Bosch, Continental, Aptiv, Faurecia, and CATL, to establish a vast supply chain system that ensures high-quality Hengchi vehicles.
