Beijing Physical Examination Center

Established in 1964, the Beijing Physical Examination Center is the earliest professional physical examination institution established by the government in the capital. It undertakes the organization, management, and implementation of physical examinations for the capital's military recruitment, student enrollment, and special industries such as teachers, pharmaceutical personnel, and drivers. It qualifies designated hospitals applying for special physical examinations, trains and assesses medical staff engaged in special physical examinations in districts and counties, monitors the quality of special physical examinations in each district and county, provides on-site consultations for physical examination issues related to middle school and college admissions, and is responsible for identifying refunds of military recruits or students due to physical examination reasons. Over the past 40 years, the center has selected a large number of physically excellent talents for industries such as education.

Long-term physical examination practice has accumulated rich experience for the center and formed its own professional characteristics. The center has participated in formulating and revising national physical examination standards for military recruitment and school admissions, and has established physical examination standards and methods for recruiting cadres and other special industries in Beijing. In recent years, it has drafted documents such as the "Beijing Physical Examination Work Management Measures," "Beijing Implementation Rules for Physical Examination of Recruited Soldiers," and "Beijing Implementation Rules for Physical Examination for Teacher Qualification Recognition," laying a solid foundation for standardizing physical examination work.

With the accelerating marketization of physical examinations, the center has been offering health check-ups to the public since 1998 to meet the growing health needs of the people. It has conducted health examinations for nearly one million person-times for well-known enterprises and institutions such as COSCO Group, China Construction Bank Head Office, Beijing Youth Daily, China Telecom, Ping An Insurance Company, and Ericsson China Branch, earning unanimous praise from all sectors of society for its superb medical skills, humanistic service, elegant environment, and advanced equipment.
