General Manager of Shanghai Juran Interior Design Co., Ltd. Cao Zhenhua

Our Juran Jiajia is a soft decoration subsidiary created by Shenyuan, specializing in soft decoration. With the deepening concept of soft decoration, Shenyuan has this year basically divided its operations into home decoration, commercial decoration, and soft decoration, advancing all three in parallel, elevating soft decoration to a higher level and integrating it with home decoration. It is not just about completing hard decoration and leaving the subsequent soft decoration to clients to purchase at will. We have made substantial investments in soft decoration afterward. For example, we are now expanding the company, expanding storefronts, and integrating many resources. Of course, doing soft decoration imposes requirements on our existing clients. For instance, we only provide subsequent soft decoration design and matching services for villa owners. Therefore, the overall resource integration of soft decoration and the strengthening of the entire design team are beneficial for all Shenyuan clients and for Shenyuan as a whole, enhancing the brand.

Soft decoration, in Shanghai and across the country, is an emerging industry. Because people now think that for renovation, they can directly hire a renovation company. But renovation companies actually only do half the job: they complete the hard decoration, and much of the subsequent soft decoration is left for clients to arrange themselves, which has always been a headache for clients. So, based on client needs—since many clients indeed have such requirements: what should I do later? What color curtains should I match, how should I select accessories, etc.—these issues are very troublesome for clients. Therefore, based on client needs, we established the soft decoration company. Additionally, in the current market, soft decoration is a trend. Abroad, it is already well-established, including in Hong Kong and Macau, where designers must be proficient in soft decoration because the final results—whether American style, classical style, etc.—cannot be expressed without soft decoration coordination. Can the rendering of hard decoration truly be achieved? It cannot achieve that effect; the rendering requires soft decoration matching to truly materialize. So, on this basis, we established this soft decoration company.

As you know, some companies that do hard decoration have their designers assist with soft decoration work. Now many companies talk about integrated hard and soft decoration. What does integrated hard and soft decoration mean? In reality, it is just hard decoration designers giving some suggestions. For example, after hard decoration is completed, what should the home match? As I mentioned earlier, our domestic designers are basically from a hard decoration background. But the designers in our newly established soft decoration company are professionally engaged in later-stage soft decoration matching; they are not from hard decoration backgrounds, though they understand hard decoration, but they do not specialize in hard decoration. We specialize in soft decoration. When you compare, you will find that the concepts our designers create are truly based on the client's later needs, lifestyle taste, work habits, family composition, and these factors, to tailor a soft decoration matching plan for their home. This is an entirely different concept from what normal hard decoration home renovation companies do. Many home renovation company designers only do matching and are not professional enough. Once clients work with us for matching, they immediately see the difference between a professional and an amateur.
Our Juran Jiajia is an independent company. Although it is a subsidiary of Shenyuan, we are independent. We are not like renovation companies that have a soft decoration department within them; in such companies, it is just a soft decoration department, say with two or four people, buying materials and listening to client needs. We are different. We have one team after another solving a series of problems for clients from start to finish. Simply put, we have refined the division of labor.
This is our ultimate starting point: to solve problems for clients and make things more convenient and effortless for them. This is our ultimate mission. Our starting point for everything is to view our own development from the client's perspective.

Juran Jiajia Overall Soft Decoration establishes its market position with professional soft decoration design as its feature. In the 21st century, soft decoration design leads the trend of the decoration industry, achieving the enjoyment of perfect spaces. Traditional renovation, focused mainly on hard decoration, has dominated for decades, but unchanging styles and patterns can cause aesthetic fatigue. The various exquisite and beautiful soft ornaments that have emerged are dazzling and beloved, but once bought home, they may not harmonize, and repainting the original renovation to refresh it would require a major undertaking, wasting effort and money. Soft decoration design, relative to the hard structural space of the building itself, is an extension of the architectural visual space. It is a highly technical industry category, mainly involving carefully designed and matched soft decorative ornaments in interior renovation. Soft ornaments broadly refer to movable, easily replaceable items in interior decoration, or objects that combine decoration and functionality. They cover a wide range, including furniture, lighting, carpets, bedding, decorative hangings, indoor plants, etc., all of which are important parts of interior decoration. With its professional absolute advantage, it provides high-end homeowners with a full range of professional overall home accessory customization services, including consultation, design, custom production, and comprehensive matching, bringing a brand-new home experience.
