Jiangsu Zhongcheng Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. was established in 1993 in Dongtai City, Jiangsu Province, as a subordinate unit of the Dongtai Urban and Rural Construction and Environmental Protection Bureau. After restructuring in 2003, it was first renamed Dongtai Zhongcheng Planning and Architectural Design Institute Co., Ltd., and in 2009 renamed Jiangsu Zhongcheng Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. It holds design qualifications including Grade A in the building industry (architectural engineering), Grade A in engineering investigation (geotechnical engineering), Grade A in the municipal industry (road engineering), Grade B in the municipal industry (bridge engineering), Grade B in the municipal industry (water supply and drainage), Grade B in urban and rural planning, and Grade B in landscape architecture.
