Weiyuan Synthetic is a bio-manufacturing enterprise based on synthetic biology technology, providing bio-based raw materials and application solutions for fields such as human nutrition, animal nutrition, daily chemical raw materials, pharmaceutical raw and auxiliary materials, agricultural production, and bulk bio-based materials.
We have an innovation R&D center of approximately 5,000 square meters in Beijing Future Science City, equipped with an AI bio-computing platform including PoseX, a metabolic network monitoring technology platform, a parallel evaluation center for microbial cell factories, as well as various molecular biology laboratories and engineering scale-up centers, enabling the design of synthetic biology components and metabolic networks, construction and evaluation of cell factories, and development of complete production process packages.
We are committed to replacing traditional chemical synthesis and agricultural planting extraction with bio-manufacturing through the design and construction of microbial cell factories, meeting various raw material needs through low-cost, low-carbon, and sustainable green manufacturing routes. Currently, we have established a smart flexible production base in Qinhuangdao and a large-scale production base in Anyang, with multiple globally pioneering, exclusive, or leading technologies achieving industrialized implementation from laboratory to factory. Among them, our biological method for mannitol/xylitol has achieved mass production globally for the first time, breaking through the core technology and process for low-cost biological production of mannitol/xylitol. In addition, we have pioneered a one-step fermentation method for allulose production using glucose, which is also the first synthetic biology new food ingredient approved domestically. This technology has also received support from the Ministry of Science and Technology's National Key R&D Program for disruptive technological innovation and has been selected as one of the first batch of landmark bio-manufacturing products by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
