Wuhan Optics Valley Future School is a full-time private boarding school established with the approval of the Education Bureau of Wuhan East Lake High-Tech Development Zone. In July 2016, under the leadership of the Management Committee of East Lake High-Tech Development Zone, No.1 Middle School Affiliated to Central China Normal University cooperated with Wuhan Optics Valley Peier Education Investment Management Co., Ltd. to found Wuhan Optics Valley Future School, aiming to give back to society with advanced educational concepts and radiate high-quality educational resources. Wuhan Optics Valley Future School is invested and constructed by Wuhan Optics Valley Peier Education Investment Management Co., Ltd., and its education and teaching management is fully undertaken by the management team of No.1 Middle School Affiliated to Central China Normal University. No.1 Middle School Affiliated to Central China Normal University dispatched key school leaders and backbone subject teachers to Wuhan Optics Valley Future School. At the same time, by introducing Olympic competition coaches and renowned teachers from key middle schools in Wuhan, they jointly formed an excellent teacher team for Wuhan Optics Valley Future School. Based on the first-class teaching strength and advanced educational concepts of No.1 Middle School Affiliated to Central China Normal University, Wuhan Optics Valley Future School strives to build a demonstration center for high-quality educational resources in Wuhan East Lake National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone, rooted in Wuhan, radiating across Hubei, and with a national vision.

Wuhan Optics Valley Future School adheres to the educational philosophy of "focusing on students' physical and mental health, shaping students' essential character, and cultivating students' key abilities; leaving time to students and teaching methods to students." By adopting a series of scientific methods, it features "focusing on cultivating students' mathematical and logical thinking, physical and artistic literacy, language expression, and self-management (habit formation) abilities." Wuhan Optics Valley Future School currently operates temporarily in the campus of Wuhan Optics Valley Jiufeng Middle School, independently carrying out various education and teaching activities. It has currently opened a junior high school division. Jiufeng Middle School covers an area of 53,447 square meters and has a good campus environment and hardware facilities. It has standardized sports grounds, physics, chemistry, and biology laboratories (two each), a library (with a collection of 30,000 books), an art room, a music room, a labor technology room, a computer room, a lecture hall, an indoor gymnasium, a recording classroom, and other education and teaching facilities. Its functional configuration and equipment meet or exceed national standards.

In 2019, the school moved to a new campus. The new campus construction invested 800 million RMB, with a planned net land area of 227.9 mu, located in the core area of Optics Valley Future Science and Technology City, north of Gaoxin 2nd Road, south of Keji 3rd Road, east of Weilai 2nd Road, and west of Quanjing East Road, adjacent to the new campus of China University of Geosciences, with a superior geographical location and a strong cultural atmosphere. The planned construction area of the new campus is about 180,000 square meters, equipped with teaching buildings for primary school, junior high school, and senior high school (including an international division), student apartments, student cafeterias, sports fields, gymnasiums, swimming pools, libraries, concert halls, and various educational facilities. Wuhan Optics Valley Future School will develop into a full-time private boarding school integrating primary school, junior high school, and senior high school (including an international division).
