正大种业（襄阳正大种业股份有限公司）成立于1996年，是正大集团在襄阳合资兴建的从事主要农作物种子育、繁、推一体化的大型现代化农作物种子企业，是国内*家合资种子企业和国内*家品牌化经营的玉米种子企业。
公司在甘肃张掖、宁夏青铜峡、云南玉溪等地建立了稳定的制种基地，年制种面积稳定在5万亩以上，在湖北襄阳、云南玉溪、甘肃张掖建有三家大型种子加工中心，年生产加工能力5万吨。
公司在全国主要玉米生态区建立了10个核心育种研究站，截止现在共有80余个玉米新品种通过国家、省级品种审定，获得植物新品种授权51项。
公司经过二十多年的发展，目前销售网络遍布全国二十多个省市区，已成为全国玉米种子销售总额排名第七的种子企业。
公司先后被评（认定）为“中国种业骨干企业”、“高新技术企业”、“湖北省农业产业化重点龙头企业”、“湖北省企业技术中心”，成立了“院士专家工作站”、“优秀海智工作站”。
