湖州市吴兴区核源⾦属新材研究院位于丝绸小镇内，是湖州太湖实验室的重要组成部分，太湖实验室总建筑⾯积6.5 万平⽶。核源⾦属新材研究院于2020年5⽉20⽇揭牌，6⽉在杭州市举办了云签约仪式。研究院由湖州市吴兴区⼈⺠政府、乌克兰国⽴冶⾦学院、浙江鉴湖海外才智开发有限公司联合创建。研究院以创建省级新型研发机构为目标，搭建基础实验室、研发⼯程中⼼、产业孵化基地为路径，组建专业研发团队，开展技术引进、技术合作、科技服务等，致⼒于引进外国⾼端⼈才与项⽬，培养本地⼈才，进⾏产业技术研发，积极推动相关技术研发成果和项⽬产业化在湖州落地。
