胜境街道由位于盘州市西部，东与红果街道接壤、北与亦资街道接壤，南与石桥镇相邻、西南抵云南富源县大河镇，素有“盘州西大门”之称，是国家“三线”建设时期盘州市境内*早开发的工业城镇。全街道国土面积155.2平方公里，耕地面积76965亩，森林覆盖率48.86%，辖18个居委会218个网格，现户籍人口17813户49388人，居住民族以汉族为主，有少数彝族、苗族、白族、回族、布依族、水族、蒙古族等。
