国家电投集团揭东能源有限公司（以下简称“揭东能源公司”）成立于2016年10月，2021年9月组建合资公司，注册资本金达到2.9亿元人民币。经营经营范围涉及冷、热、电等综合能源生产、销售及配售电相关业务；生产附属品的销售及其制品的生产、销售。 揭东燃气热电项目规划建设4×10万千瓦级燃气-蒸汽联合循环供热机组，总投资近30亿元人民币。一期工程建设2×10万千瓦，同步配套建设供热管网，主要覆盖揭东经济开发区新型工业园、环保生态园及综合产业园三大片区，设计供热管线总长约25。工程于2019年12月30日开工建设，已于2022年12月份投产。二期项目于2021年12月24日获得揭阳市发改委核准批复，计划2023年12月开工建设。
