Zhaolian Consumer Finance Co., Ltd. is a consumer finance company approved by the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC) and jointly established by China Merchants Bank and China Unicom, both Fortune 500 companies, under the framework of the Mainland and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA).
On March 3, 2015, Zhaolian Finance obtained the financial business license from the former China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC), was registered and established in Qianhai, Shenzhen on March 6, and started trial operations on March 18. Its initial registered capital was 2 billion yuan, with China Merchants Bank and China Unicom each contributing 1 billion yuan. After two capital increases by shareholders in 2017 and 2018, the registered capital increased to 3.869 billion yuan. To date, the two major shareholders have invested a cumulative total of 5.2 billion yuan.
Zhaolian Finance operates two major consumer finance product systems, "Haoqidai" and "Xinyongfu", providing users with fully online, collateral-free, low-interest inclusive consumer credit services.
