晋城市荣军康复医院是隶属于市民政局的优抚医院。她的前身分别是创建于1959年的原晋东南地区荣军疗养院和原晋东南地区荣军精神病院。1960年11月，两院合并继用晋东南地区荣军疗养院名称。1965年原晋东南地区10个县办荣军疗养院合并到该院，床位增至200张。1966年遵照“把医疗卫生工作的重点放到农村去”的6.26指示精神，设立“6.26”病区，面向社会收治精神病患者。1985年市管县体制改革，成立晋城市后，我院隶属于晋城市民政局，同时更名为晋城市荣军疗养院。1992年针对原院址高平营盘地处偏僻、交通不便、房屋破旧的状况，院领导在市委市政府、省民政厅、市民政局的大力支持下，经过八年的艰苦努力，于2000年7月整体搬迁至现址黄华街南端3066号。2005年元月按照省民政厅文件精神，更名为晋城市荣军康复医院，床位增至250张。
