本基地处长白山余脉，水源来自*自然保护区三角龙湾。本基地生产的“天泊湖”牌优质米全部施用有机肥，无残留物。2001年基地建立以来，严格按照无公害农产品技术指标管理。聘请中国土肥专家姜岩教授，通化农科院闫光彬研究员为技术顾问，监督指导。现已发展6个品种，500公顷。连续2年经吉林省技术监督检验院检测，12项指标全部合格，2003年获国家农业部产品质量安全中心颁发的无公害证书。即成为吉林省*一家由农业部认证的无公害优质米基地。
