按照火炬开发区关于水务工作的统一部署，具体承担以下工作任务：（一）宣传和贯彻执行上级关于水务工作的政策和法律、法规。（二）负责辖区内江河湖泊和水工程的防御洪水抗御旱灾调度及应急水量调度工作，储备、管理水工程抢险物资。（三）协助开展辖区内取水户管理及各行业节约用水管理工作。负责辖区内内河道整治工作。（四）协助做好辖区内水土保持、水库移民等工作。（五）协助做好辖区内河湖水域及其岸线的管理和保护工作，开展内河道及涉河建设项目的日常巡查。（六）完成上级和火炬开发区党工委、管委会交办的其他工作任务。
