Beijing Satellite Manufacturing Co., Ltd., affiliated with the Fifth Research Institute of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), was established in 1958. It is the birthplace of China's first artificial Earth satellite, 'Dongfanghong-1', and China's first spacecraft, 'Shenzhou-1'. Beijing Satellite Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has completed the development, assembly, integration, and testing of products such as metal structures, composite materials, power electronics, and structural thermal control for over 400 satellites and spacecraft, as well as launch site services, making significant contributions to the development of China's aerospace industry. Beijing Satellite Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has won more than 300 provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological achievements, including the National Science and Technology Progress Special Prize, and over 540 patents. It has been honored with more than 30 awards, including the Outstanding Collective for China's Manned Space Engineering and the National May Day Labor Certificate.
