[Establishment Background]
To further enhance the city's core competitiveness and promote the optimization and upgrading of the industrial structure, Changzhou has positioned the creative industry as a new pillar industry for support and cultivation. Meanwhile, the "Several Opinions on Encouraging and Supporting the Development of the Creative Industry" was issued, arranging 50 million yuan annually for five years starting from 2009 to support the development of the creative industry. In December last year, the Party Working Committee and Management Committee of Changzhou Creative Industry Base, established at the principal division level, were entrusted to the Changzhou High-tech Zone Party Working Committee and Management Committee for management, responsible for overall planning, guidance, management, service, and cultivation of the creative industry's development.
