People's Hospital Affiliated to Chongqing Three Gorges Medical College

The People's Hospital Affiliated to Chongqing Three Gorges Medical College is a Grade III general teaching hospital directly administered by the Chongqing Municipal Health Commission and directly affiliated with Chongqing Three Gorges Medical College, integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, preventive healthcare, and rehabilitation. It has established five medical research institutions: the National Drug Clinical Trial Institution (GCP), the Chongqing Three Gorges Reservoir Area Minimally Invasive Surgery Clinical Research Center, the Chongqing Postdoctoral Research Workstation, the Three Gorges Acupuncture Application Technology Research Institute, and the Wanzhou District Dermatology Clinical Research Institute.
At present, it has two campuses, Guoben Road and Gaosuntang, with a total land area of approximately 53 mu and a building area of 107,000 square meters, 1,220 authorized beds and 1,380 open beds. In addition, a new Gaofeng campus covering 206 mu has commenced construction, and in the future it will achieve a development pattern of one hospital with three campuses.
The hospital has 58 clinical and medical technology departments, and 12 clinical teaching and research sections and laboratories. The Guoben Road campus features minimally invasive surgery and interventional therapy as its main medical technical characteristics; the Gaosuntang campus features traditional Chinese medicine rehabilitation, acupuncture, and dermatology as its main advantageous disciplines. It currently has 6 municipal-level key clinical specialties (Cardiovascular Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology, Urology, Acupuncture, Critical Care Medicine, Rehabilitation Medicine), 3 municipal-level clinical characteristic disciplines (Dermatology, General Surgery, Oncology), and 1 municipal-level key medical discipline (Ophthalmology). The Cardiovascular Internal Medicine Department is a National Standardized Cardiac Rehabilitation Center, the Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine Department is a Wanzhou District Innovation and Entrepreneurship Demonstration Team, and it is a Pulmonary Nodule Diagnosis and Treatment Sub-center of the China Lung Cancer Prevention and Treatment Alliance.
It is equipped with clean operating rooms, clean intensive care units, etc., and is furnished with a 320-slice spiral CT, a high-resolution C-arm X-ray digital subtraction system, a linear accelerator, a Siemens 1.5T MRI, a Zeiss femtosecond laser corneal refractive treatment machine, a 64-slice mobile vehicle-mounted CT, a high-definition membrane laparoscope, and a large number of other advanced medical equipment.
