黄潭水电站位于将乐县黄潭镇上游约2公里处，为闽江上游大金湖流域的第四级水电站，是我省“十五”规划中的大中型水电开发项目。 该电站坝址控制流域面积5214平方公里，正常蓄水位186米，总库容1850万立方米，电站为河床式电站，装设二台灯泡贯流式水轮机，装机容量2×15MW，水轮机直径5.1米，额定水头8.2米，保证出力6874千瓦，平均年发电量为1.08亿千瓦时。
