Guangzhou Huali College

Guangzhou Huali College (formerly Huali College of Guangdong University of Technology) was established in 1999. In 2004, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to become one of the first batch of independent colleges in Guangdong Province, fully implementing undergraduate education. In 2021, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was converted to Guangzhou Huali College. The university currently has two campuses: Zengcheng in Guangzhou and Yinhuwan in Jiangmen, covering an area of nearly 2,000 mu. It has 1 faculty, 15 colleges, and 52 undergraduate majors, with over 25,000 full-time regular undergraduates. It is an application-oriented undergraduate university with coordinated development of multiple disciplines including engineering, science, economics, management, literature, art, and education, and has maintained a high employment rate for graduates over the years.

The university has two provincial key disciplines: Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. It has established three provincial-level scientific research service platforms: Guangdong Doctoral Workstation, Guangdong Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center for Intelligent Special Equipment in Universities, and Guangdong Senior Scientists Technical Service Workstation. Five majors are ranked B or above in the ShanghaiRanking's national undergraduate program ranking, and two majors, Computer Science and Technology and Engineering Management, are provincial first-class undergraduate programs.

In March 2023, our university was officially approved to establish the Guangdong Doctoral Workstation. The approval of the workstation is another achievement of our strategy of "Quality-based School, Talent-strengthened School, and Characteristic-oriented School", reflecting our comprehensive strength in attracting, utilizing, retaining, flowing, and serving talents. The workstation also serves as an important carrier for scientific research achievements and the construction of scientific research talent teams.

Over the past year, our university has achieved fruitful results in talent introduction and scientific research. We have invested nearly 21 million yuan in research funds; teachers have undertaken over 130 provincial-level or above research projects; published more than 200 papers; promoted the transformation and transfer of scientific and technological achievements, with scientific and technological social services deeply rooted in rural revitalization, and benefits spreading across the Greater Bay Area, receiving coverage from multiple domestic and international media outlets. The university actively expands joint master's student training and has cultivated over 10 young teachers who have obtained the qualifications of master's supervisor at renowned universities such as Guangdong University of Technology and Wuyi University.

With the completion of the school's conversion, Guangzhou Huali College has entered a new stage of development. In the new era, the university will adhere to an engineering-focused, multi-disciplinary coordinated development, based in Guangdong and serving the "Greater Bay Area". Leveraging the flexible advantages of private education, implementing the strategy of "Quality-based School, Talent-strengthened School, and Characteristic-oriented School", and using the construction of "one university with two campuses" as a lever, we will further optimize the discipline and major layout, focus on developing "Four New" majors, integrate into the great cause of Guangdong's high-quality development, dock with the regional industrial ecological chain, innovate and promote industry-education integration, and continuously create new momentum and inject new vitality into Guangdong's development.
