Hubei Culture & Tourism Group

Hubei Provincial Western Hubei Eco-Cultural Tourism Circle Investment Co., Ltd. was a large state-owned holding tourism investment group established by the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government to implement the "Two Circles and One Belt" strategy and promote the development of the Western Hubei Circle. It was officially inaugurated in May 2009. The company was jointly funded by the provincial government, the governments of 8 cities (prefectures and forestry districts) including Yichang, Xiangyang, Shiyan, Jingzhou, Jingmen, Enshi, Suizhou, and Shennongjia, as well as large enterprises such as China Three Gorges Corporation, China Construction Third Engineering Bureau, and Hubei Qingneng Real Estate Group. Its registered capital was 1.94 billion yuan, with the provincial government holding a controlling stake.
　　Since its establishment, Hubei Tourism Investment has taken the tourism industry as its entry point and rapidly developed into a large tourism investment group with distinctive industrial characteristics, standardized and orderly operations, and strong core competitiveness. It has formed four major industrial sectors: cultural tourism, new urbanization, ecological agriculture, and financial services, playing a supporting role in the leapfrog development of the Western Hubei Circle and even the entire province's economy. At present, the company owns 14 wholly-owned subsidiaries, 18 holding subsidiaries, and 11 equity-participating subsidiaries. During the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, Hubei Tourism Investment will realize the transformation from a state-owned investment and financing platform to a state-owned capital investment company, from the support of four major industrial sectors to the innovative "Tourism+" development model, and from a regional enterprise to a national enterprise and international group; leverage its late-mover advantages to achieve rapid and extraordinary development and catch up; and quadruple its total assets and comprehensive income.
