湖州交通医院、湖州第六医院（湖州市中心医院医疗保健集团城中分院）建于1994年，是以医疗、预防、保健为一体的二级乙等综合性医院。医院位于湖州市中心城区，建筑面积12500平方米，2025年医院新大楼预计启用,建筑面积约达40000平方米。在“病人满意是医院工作的* 高标准”的办院宗旨引领下，委托湖州市中心医院专业团队管理,建成了“基层首诊、双向转诊、急慢分诊、上下联动”的医疗分级诊疗制度，2017年湖州太湖明德医院（湖州第六医院西南分院）正式启用。
