Western (Chongqing) Geological Technology Innovation Research Institute Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as "West Research Institute") is located at Rooms 1-2, Floor 2, Building B4, No. 27 Xiangtong Road [Huangjinwan Zhigu], Shapingba District, Chongqing. In August 2019, West Research Institute broke through the existing institutional legal person system, absorbed social resources and capital, and was established and operated under market-oriented principles; it introduced high and new technologies from research institutes directly under the China Geological Survey and from the domestic and international geological science and technology field, which were further researched, developed and incubated through the West Research Institute platform, realizing a "five-in-one" operation model integrating government, industry, academia, research and application. The core technical personnel of West Research Institute are composed of professionals in geology, soil science, environmental science, mining, bioengineering, chemical engineering, metallurgical engineering and other related fields, totaling 65 people, including 10 PhDs, 20 master's degree holders, and 35 bachelor's degree holders; 12 with senior professional titles and 20 with associate senior professional titles. It has received multiple honors, including National High-tech Enterprise, Chongqing New R&D Institution, Chongqing Specialized, Refined, Distinctive and Innovative Enterprise, Chongqing Industry-University-Research Cooperation Pilot Enterprise, and Chongqing Talent Program Innovation and Entrepreneurship Demonstration Team. West Research Institute focuses on the circular economy industry built around the utilization of bulk mine solid waste and the modern agricultural industry built around the safe utilization of soil. It has completed multiple major engineering projects, including mine ecological environment restoration and high-standard farmland construction. It has obtained 19 national invention patents and utility model patents. It holds qualifications such as Environmental Engineering Design (Pollution Remediation Engineering) Special Grade B, Environmental Pollution Control Service Capability Evaluation Grade A, and Farmland Engineering Construction Survey and Design Grade B.
