Chongqing Kerui Nanhai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Kerui Nanhai Pharmaceutical") is a brand-new state-owned pharmaceutical enterprise jointly established by Chongqing Kerui Pharmaceutical (Group) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Chongqing Chemical & Pharmaceutical Holding (Group) Company, as the controlling shareholder, and Chongqing Xinyu Investment (Group) Co., Ltd., representing the Qianjiang District State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, as a minority shareholder. The company is located in Zhengyang Industrial Park, Qianjiang District, Chongqing, and was established on November 22, 1995, with a registered capital of 30 million yuan. In April 2008, it underwent restructuring under the control of Chongqing Kerui Pharmaceutical (Group) Co., Ltd. The company has a beautiful environment, advanced factory facilities, and a stable high-quality workforce of more than 300 employees. It covers an area of over 80 mu, with a building area of more than 20,000 square meters and total assets of 320 million yuan. It has a traditional Chinese medicine (plant) industry chain integrating cultivation, extraction, preparation production, research and development, and sales.

Kerui Nanhai Pharmaceutical is mainly engaged in the development and large-scale production of natural plant extracts and pharmaceutical intermediates. It is one of China's leading plant extract manufacturers and exporters. Its products include artemisinin, resveratrol, metformin hydrochloride sustained-release tablets, Longqing capsules, and exclusively patented Guixiong Huafen oral liquid and Cansuo Bajie oral liquid. The company has established a municipal-level technology center, is a high-tech enterprise in Chongqing, and is the first Polygonum cuspidatum GAP cultivation enterprise certified on-site by an expert panel. The company passed national GMP certification in July 2004; passed GMP re-certification in September 2009, with five standard production lines for plant extraction, tablets, capsules, oral liquids, and granules; passed multiple system certifications including ISO9001, ISO14001, and HACCP; passed GMP follow-up inspection in 2012; passed Novartis certification in September 2012; and passed the new version of GMP certification in 2013. Five independently developed products—resveratrol, Cansuo Bajie oral liquid, Guixiong Huafen oral liquid, metformin hydrochloride sustained-release tablets, and Longqing capsules—are Chongqing high-tech products. In December 2012, it participated in the establishment of Chongqing Xinhe Biotechnology Co., Ltd., which mainly uses traditional Chinese medicine waste residue to produce ecological organic fertilizer and then uses it for planting bases. This not only solves the environmental protection problem of the company's traditional Chinese medicine waste residue but also improves the soil quality of the bases and can create certain returns.

In terms of future development, the company will further promote traditional Chinese medicine culture, cultivate and develop the traditional Chinese medicine industry, use high-tech to promote technological progress in traditional industries, and achieve the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine and the creation of a traditional Chinese medicine industry chain (medicinal source base - digital extraction of key processes - high-quality traditional Chinese medicine preparations - marketing - customer service - waste residue utilization). In five years, the company will be built into a well-known traditional Chinese medicine preparation enterprise in the industry, striving to achieve a sales scale of 1 billion yuan by the end of the "13th Five-Year Plan."
